What is Halfday?
Halfday by Late Sun Studio is an app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac that runs AI agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode on your own computers. You hand off the work from wherever you are. The agents carry it through on your Mac, a Mac mini, a Linux server, or a cloud computer, and Halfday tells you when something needs your judgment or is ready to land.
Which agents does it run?
Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode, with your own Claude or ChatGPT plan. Each agent works in the repositories, tools, and worktrees already on that computer, the way it would in your terminal, and Halfday keeps every session in one place instead of a terminal window you have to leave open.
Which computers can do the work?
Any Mac you sign in on, from a MacBook to a fleet of Mac minis, plus Linux servers and cloud computers we host. Every computer shows up in one list with what its agents are doing, so you can send the next task to whichever one is free. Your files and repositories stay on the computers that hold them.
What can I do from my phone?
Start a task in a sentence, typed or spoken. Answer an agent's question, approve a step, and read what it changed. When the pull request has passed its checks, you get one quiet notification that it's ready to land. Otherwise Halfday leaves you to your afternoon.
Can my team use it?
Yes. Invite a cofounder or teammate into your space and they see the team's computers and the work running on them. A shared vault holds the keys and logins agents need, shared drives keep files in sync across computers with end-to-end encryption, and groups decide who uses each computer and vault.
The Inbox
The optional Inbox connects to Gmail. It reads your recent mail, sorts it with AI models under zero-data-retention terms, and asks you only about the conversations that need you. From a question you can archive or trash the mail, undo that, or hand the work to an agent on one of your computers.
Your Google password never reaches us, full email bodies are never stored, and Gmail data is never used to train AI models. The privacy policy explains exactly what the Inbox reads and keeps.
Where does my work run?
On your computers. Our cloud handles sign-in, your list of computers, and push notifications, and its relay passes encrypted traffic between your devices without reading the work inside.
